What is the Holiday Blues Irritability?
Holiday blues irritability is feelings of annoyance, impatience, frustration, and even anger which increase during the holiday season. You are short-tempered and may even snap at others when things do not go according to what you planned or traditions. You feel irritated, despite celebrations and it being the most wonderful time of the year.
The source of the irritation is an unmet need or expectation. You may be an over-giver or a people pleaser. You rely on interactions or the response of others to define if a holiday event is joyful. Numerous disappointing holiday experiences resulted in unrealistic expectations. Change your perspective to remain calm.
