Learn how change is essential to redefine who you are.
The changing of the tree leaves from green to the warm fall colors of orange and red. The cool breeze in the morning air. The beautiful sunsets as the day ends a little earlier. The seasons are transitioning into something new all around you. Have you decided how you are going to adjust? Are you switching out your summer shorts for warm cozy sweaters? Although, we may not be ready for summer to end, its time to embrace the new season ahead. In this article, we will discuss how it is essential to change in order to redefine who you are in each season.
"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 KJV
What is Changing Around You?
Contrary to belief, change is a constant in life. Things are always evolving and transitioning. Whether you are graduating to the next grade level or receiving a job promotion, change will always be happening. Therefore, you should also always be in a place of learning. Life is a life-long journey of new lessons teaching you something new about yourself. As a result, change is a by-product of learning. It is impossible to remain the same, when you are surrounded around transitions.
“O sing unto the LORD a new song; for HE hath done marvellous things: HIS right hand, and HIS holy arm, hath gotten HIM the victory.”
Psalm 98:1 KJV
When change occurs you may want to resist the adjustments required. However, it is essential to acclimate to the shifts necessary for your growth. Resisting change is what brings prolonged pain to the inevitable modifications that you will need to make. Your continued advancement in life requires a level of flexibility for the transitions necessary for your development. Allow yourself time to assimilate to the adjustments required for your shift. During your moments of reflection, say goodbye to the old and welcome in the new season in your life. For your best days are ahead of you.

Get Comfortable
Uncertainty is a natural feeling during the transitions of change. This is a result of how change brings on feelings of uneasiness due to the new territory and surroundings. You have to be willing to release the desire to be in control of everything. And get comfortable with being uncomfortable. This is the only way to ensure your continued growth. This may be the way to unlock your unlimited potential. You will increase your boldness, confidence, and courage as you release control. Allow HOLY SPIRIT to lead and guide you into all truths about your new surroundings. Trust GOD will never lead you astray, as you remain a student to HIS word and always open to learning. Avoid the temptation to get comfortable with the familiar. However, realize the new is what will dismantle all the old dysfunctional cycles of trauma in order for the whole, and healed version of yourself to emerge.
