How to fast to gain clarity and overcome self-imposter syndrome
Fasting goes beyond the physical benefits of food discipline. Fasting is a biblical principle to quiet your flesh for your spirit man to grow in strength and knowledge from GOD. This principle helps to eliminate the distractions and the noise of the desires of your flesh. Matthew 4:4, states, “But HE [JESUS] answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of GOD.” It is imperative to feed your spirit with the word of GOD daily. Oftentimes, there is a focus on physically nourishing the body, while the spirit is malnutrition. Fasting is an essential way to strengthen, feed, and build your spirit. Thus doing so will allow you to quiet the thoughts and feelings of the self-imposter syndrome. You will be able to gain clarity about where these feelings are coming from and the fallacies in your negative thought patterns. Fasting allows you to hear GOD more clearly because HE is always speaking. However, the distractions of life get in the way of you hearing HIM clearly. Being able to hear the voice of GOD clearly, through fasting, will empower you to overcome self-imposter syndrome.
10 Scriptures for Clarity
“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;.” 2 Corinthians 2:5 KJV
The healing process to overcome self-imposter syndrome can be complex. However, sustainable healing is possible with GOD. There is power in speaking and meditating on the scriptures of the Bible daily. Read, speak, and meditate on the scriptures for clarity in your heart and mind.
Pray to GOD for direction in fasting
GOD wants to be involved in every area of your life. Pray to GOD for direction and instructions when fasting. This biblical principle is an individual consecration and dedication to abstain from food and/or drink, in order to build your spirit man. Although fasting can be done within a group or corporately, it is an individual dedication between you and GOD. Matthew 6:16-18 states, “Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.” KJV. Be sure to seek GOD for clarity about how to fast. When dealing with the self-imposter syndrome, is imperative to quiet your mind through fasting to overcome intrusive unwarranted thoughts and feelings of insecurity.
