Do you find yourself feeling overly tired, unable to focus? Have difficulty making clear decisions? Continuously in the process of starting and stopping projects, but never quite successful in completing. You may be fatigued.
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9
What is Fatigue?
Fatigue is a feeling of being overly tired, sleepy or lack of energy. You feel exhausted, even with adequate sleep. The exhaustion appears when you face difficult or complex tasks. You initiate a project, but are unable to entirely bring it the point of completion. Causing you to doubt your own abilities. This is when you can also have feelings of unworthiness, because you become exhausted with trying. Resulting in a dysfunctional cycle of fatigue, unworthiness and unproductivity.

Signs of Fatigue
Impaired decision making
Not capable of understanding or retaining the information presented to make a decision.
Moodiness
Abrupt change in mood with unaccountability for consequences.
Chronic sleepiness
Overly tired, drowsy, excessive low energy, despite adequate rest.

Difficulty regaining strength mentally or physically.
Mental and physical weakness
Inability to function at normal capabilites.
Erratic responses
Unpredictable and irrational actions without consideration for continued outcomes.
Being unproductive, due to fatigue, will prevent you from accomplishing your goals. You need clarity to make changes. The lack of knowledge of what is required to reach your goals keeps you stagnant. As a result, you become frustrated and want to give up. However, diligence is required to be successful. You cannot allow the feeling of fatigue to cause you to give up or wait for life to just happen.

In order to overcome fatigue, it is essential to take control and responsibility for your life. Define what you want your life to look like and make daily steps toward it. You are responsible for you success. Why do I feel fatigued?

- Self-care. Get up out of the bed, take shower, and brush your teeth. Combat the feelings of fatigue by refreshing yourself physically.
- Dress for success. Put on clothes to reflect what you would like to accomplish for the day.
- New environment. Get out of the house and go into an space with people who are working toward your goals.
- Embrace imperfection. Let go of the idea that everything has to be perfect for you to be productive.
- Try something new. Don’t be afraid to learn a new process, especially when what you are doing is not working.
- Be a student. In the process of accomplishing your dreams, you are a student becoming the master. Always be open to learning.
- Remain diligent. Keep going. It takes time to create new systems and break free from the old dysfunctional cycles.
