What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is fear. You feel persistent and intense worry about everything in the present and the future. Anxiety causes you to be confused, apprehensive, and unable to make decisions. It can conceal itself as a desire to be overly concerned. Analyzing desired outcomes prior to developing a plan of action, is a balanced mind frame. However, anxiety is panic of distorted and unproportionate outcomes, with a lack of clear vision. Feelings of excessive concern with worry about a particular issue is a symptom of anxiety. Why am I anxious?
“Let this mind be in you, which was also in CHRIST JESUS:” Philippians 2:5 KJV

How to Overcome Anxiety
Set a schedule.

Exercise.
Physical activity releases endorphins to the brain which helps to decrease anxiety. Set 20-minutes a day to exercise. Find activities that you enjoy, maybe able to do with friends/family, or allows you to meet new people. Exercising will help you to reduce stress.
Pray and Meditate.
Focus on closing out the noise of the world, and your own thoughts with prayer and meditation. Read a scripture of the Bible out loud, and sit in silence meditating on the scripture for at least 10 minutes or more. Meditation brings clarity to your mind and allows GOD to be your peace. Pray to give GOD thanks, give HIM what you are anxious about, and ask HIM what you should do. Trust GOD will provide you with HIS direction. Prayer and meditation will help you to gain perspective, reduce your stress, and overcome anxiety.
Eat healthy.
Food affects your brain focus. Stress will cause you to reach for foods that have a high calorie count but low nutritional value. The nutrients you add to your body will help to reduce your anxiety. Reach for foods high in vitamins and nutrients to stimulate healthy brain focus. A healthy diet, rich in nutrients will help reduce stress.
Write it down.
Oftentimes, anxiety is because there is no visible solution. You need to gain perspective. Write down the issue you are concerned about. Brainstorm the different solutions and what it will take to accomplish them. Repeat this method as often as possible, until an attainable solution is found and a plan is implemented. Write down the issue, solution, steps to accomplish, resources needed, timeline to complete, next steps or other people who may need to help. Developing a plan of action will help to reduce stress.
