What is Destabilization?
Destabilization is extreme difficulty being centered, structured or aligned with your environment. Triggers from your trauma cloud your mind with confusion and you are unable to think clearly or make sound decisions. You are unable to clearly discern truth from reality or trust your instincts and intuition. In the absence of healthy coping skills, this leads to a loss of connection, inactivity or productivity.
Symptoms of Destabilization
Isolation
Feelings of always wanting to be alone. Prominent thoughts of you are always better off doing life by yourself.
Procrastination
A continuous pattern of putting off simple tasks for another day or time, because you don’t feel like it, not in the mood or overthinking.
Self- sabotage
Consciously or subconsciously destroying opportunities for your growth and advancement by missing deadlines, under performing, failure to perform, or not showing up.
Introvert behavior
You don’t like being around other people. Avoiding any or all opportunities to socialize or be in a social setting.
Depression
Feelings and thoughts of despair, gloom, and the repetition of negative thought patterns that incapacitate your ability to function mentally, emotionally or physically.
